Approaching 40 is not easy, there are aches and pains that pop up, you realize you can't do things you did in your 20's as easily and worst of all you have the feeling that things are only going to get worse from here...
One thing that I am very grateful for is that I discovered the power of exercise and more specifically weight training in my early 20's. Which led me to really appreciate one of the greatest phenomenons I've experienced... working out with heavy weight.
This led to the natural progression to kettlebell training in my 30's that I've come to love so much.
No time for the gym? No problem, I can now get a workout done in about the time it used to take me to drive to the gym.
No waiting around for equipment...
Most importantly I can work out almost anywhere.
Truth is... everyone who has trained with kettlebells quickly realizes just how worthless most machines are.
Which brings me full circle to one of the greatest phenomenons you can experience... working out with heavy weight... there is nothing like it to make you feel great, to get you in shape, to reinforce your health and prevent sickness.
There is just nothing in my life like it, I might not be in as good a shape as I was in my 20's, but kettlebells have helped me look and feel at least 10 years younger and given me a way to keep my fitness levels high and keep pushing them past their limits despite having a shortage of the time and energy I did 20 years ago.
Hope every one had a good thanksgiving. Short post here. This is just my philosophy on the use of kettlebells as a tool in a broad spectrum training program. reps cpd courses
