You Don't Have To Be In The Olympics To Train Like An Olympian.

The Olympics are in full swing and apart from the entertainment factor of the games I find watching the athletes inspirational.
Whatever the sport, (even though I do have my favorites) the determination and discipline that these athletes is something I want to model in my own life.

Watching Oscar Pistorius today made me feel like any excuses in my life, business, and training are pathetic. I have no excuse for making excuses when I look at a guy doing what this guy is doing. I feel stupid for ever even making an excuse.

There's something about watching athletes giving their all that makes me want to bring the best out of myself and I'm sure many other people feel the same way I do, which would explain the popularity of the games. Sure there are many that are just spectators of these games like they are in life, spectators in their own lives. I'm sure they are unconsciously looking for glory through the athletes of their own country, as if they are living the athletes glory as if it was their own.

I'm definitely not among that crowd.

For myself, there is this huge energy that comes from watching any athlete from any country push to his limits and beyond.

The emotion and excitement of the games can easily be carried over into our own lives if we let it.

I would advise everyone reading this blog to take the determination, drive, discipline and focus demonstrated by the Olympians and bring it into their kettlebell training. I guarantee your performance will improve as a result and you'll appreciate the Olympics on a whole new level.
